Deep in the heart of the Chugach Mountains and only a few hours from Anchorage is Spencer Glacier. The Alaska Railroad’s rail and float tour is a perfect outing for the whole family. Ride the rail to Spencer Glacier and steal away on a gentle float tour among the icebergs at Spencer Lake and then down the Placer River. Professional raft guides lead the trip.
